I just bought this product a couple weeks ago and I have fallen in love wtih it. Its the perfect size, weight, height, its cute and it goes with me everywhere. I also bought the silicon protective cover in green and it looks even prettier! I like this ipod more than any other because its not big and bulky and it fits right into your pocket. This is a great gift under $150 for that special someone or your kids. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is not concerned with watching movies on their ipod because the screen is small. The resolution is still great though.

I love this item
I have an older version of the SVAT monitor system for my twins, and we love it. It's black and white, but it does a great job. My husband and I bought the new Color monitor system for my sister and her husband for their new baby. WOW! What a difference. It has a great picture and so many new features. We wish we had one for ourselves. I highly recommend the system.

Good product but could be much much better
I was hesitant to purchase this after reading the last review. But my experience has been delightful.

I have no issues with power interference or power filter problem. Power supplies for camera and receiver are perfectly fine. I can connect the units to any outlets around my house and they work fine.

I originally had some WiFi interference with my wireless router because the receiver was right next to the router in my office when I was testing it. But, once I moved it away from the router, it worked perfectly fine with no interference.

**UPDATE** There is some interference but not drastic enough to distort the image. It depends where the receiver is around the house.

Positives:
* Color picture quality is excellent compared to the black and white Summer Infant monitor product (which had terrible interference problem).

* Also, I like the auto enable feature. Basically, the unit stays on standby (the receiver screen in shutoff until a sound from the camera activates it automatically). The input audio level can be adjusted on each individual camera.

* The unit supports up to three cameras

* The receiver color screen brightness is adjustable (so late at night, you can make it a bit darker)

* Lens has a nice wide-angle view. From 6 feet away, it can almost cover the length of a twin mattress

Negatives:
* The receiver uses four AAA batteries. I would have preferred a slightly thicker unit if it accommodated AA batteries. I have plenty of high capacity rechargeable AA batteries that I use for all our digital toys, but no AAAs. AA batteries are generally cheaper too.

* The power plug connects inside the battery compartment. The batteries have to be removed in order to use the power adapter. BAD DESIGN. This is incompetent design.

* Night vision is weak past 2 feet away. I can barely see anything past 4 feet.

* Camera lens does not zoom in or out. A manual zoom lens 2x or 3x would be a great feature to add in the future.

The timing belt can "jump" (dental-Skipping or more, usually on the cam gear) when it loose or wrong. This leads to loss of engine power. The belt is made of rubber and reinforced with glass fiber cables, it will naturally over time reduced, making the timing belt a maintenance element.

Although a timing belt replacement does not a low-cost operation, replacing the belt long before its likely failure is cheap compared to the cost of a failure. The timing belt should be controlled at every oil change interval for signs of wear any abnormal conditions. This is easily by unclipping and remove the top cover belt and carry out an inspection. If one of the following conditions are noted, the belt tension and must be replaced immediately and without licence, the vehicle again.

I used this Electronic Eyepiece to make some movies of the Mercury Transit in 2006, and it did that very well with my Coronado PST and Konusmotor 500/Thousand Oaks White Light filter. However, I had to hook this up to my VCR to make the movie using a twenty foot long coaxial cable with RCA adapters. I had really planned on connecting it to my Sony Camcorder so I could have a lot of mobility, but the Camcorder and eyepiece simply cannot work together. It does work well with my VCRs and televisions, though.

Don't buy this, it was DOA (dead on arrival)
I bought this to transfer images quickly off of my camera but this piece of garbage was DOA. I opened it a little while after I bought it so I am too late to return it to Amazon and if I were to have Kingston repair it, I have to pay for the return shipping which basically is not worth it. Save your money and get a Sandisk one. I have never had problems with their devices.

As handy as a pocket in your underwear.
I have been using this thing for over a month now, and it is GREAT!! I would highly recommend this for anyone who is a heavy user of SD cards.

I use SD cards in 2 of my cameras, and in my Zoom audio recorder. This little device reads them all with no issues. It has worked perfectly on several different Windows 2000, XP, and Vista boxes, as well as Mac OS-X, and even Ubuntu Linux!

When my cards are not loaded with sound or photos, I can use this thing as a generic "Jump Drive" to move other files around.

The only issue I have had with this is that the dust cover door is a little difficult to get open until it gets broken in. (or broken off, it's really not needed.)

For the money, you can't ask for anything better
I chose this product because it was inexpensive and had fairly good reviews. I've been using it for several months now (once a week or so), and it has done just what I have expected from it. I see no reason why one would need to buy a more expensive one. The only poor quality about it is that the little door that one must move to insert the SD card is a bit poorly designed, and takes a little maneuvering sometimes to open and shut. But other than that, it is an excellent little device.

Kodak Theatre HD Player

Netflix recently made the move and offered a set top box (The Netflix Player) to stream their content. Now Kodak, a company that has been synonymous with photography as long as I can remember, is jumping in. My initial reaction: this thing will fail like the Microsoft web box you connected to your TV - that was Microsoft right? The Kodak Theatre HD Player (not a good name) will allow users to view photos from a variety of sources including the Kodak Gallery, as well as Flickr and many other popular photo sharing services (it connects to your homes network by WiFi or Ethernet). Additionally, users will be able to access streaming content from You Tube and perhaps (not confirmed or denied) sites of a similar ilk. The box will be operated via the included remote control and get as good as 720p, not 1080i.

Mitsubishi Builds 16 Speaker Flat Panel TV

Since Mitsubishi isn’t being honest, at least in my opinion, then I’ll try to be. You can’t fake surround sound. But, that’s exactly what Mitsubishi hopes to do with its newest LCD TVs. Integrated into the base of the LCDs, which come in varying sizes, are 16 speakers. Through the use of algorithm magic, the Integrate Sound Projector (aka iSP) will time the emission of sounds according to their location (i.e. front, back, side, etc).

The LCDs, which come in 46-inch (LT461149) and 52-inch (LT53149) sizes and are $3,300 and $3,700 respectively. They’ll will be available later this month (July 2008).

Let’s just hope it’s not an amplified version of today’s ‘virtual surround sound’. It makes my head spin.
